In Sotogrande, southern Spain, surrounded by a peaceful residential environment, we developed the design of this vacation villa for a family of foreign residents.
A corner plot, free of vegetation, allowed us to develop the generative idea with few constraints.
The program specifically called for the distribution and transition between spaces and their uses, maintaining privacy while still allowing views of the surroundings.
We decided to separate and connect the public and private spaces through individual volumes, which in turn were linked by double-height bridges covered with a permeable skin, serving as articulators.
The result is a set of simple prisms organized around the main double-height access volume, where reading and art-related activities take place.
The morphology of the complex embraces the exterior, and we redesigned part of the landscape to transform it into an interior courtyard.
