La Roca

The "La Roca" project is being developed in the Sierra de Mijas (Málaga), on a plot with two slope directions: an 8° north–south slope and a 28° east–west slope, with a steep gradient that flows into a stream active during the rainy months.

At the highest point, a large rock emerges, which we used as the origin of the composition axes, where we located the access volume as a pivot between the two wings of the house.

The public spaces are organized in an east–west direction, while the private spaces follow the path in a north–south direction, all on a single floor.

This layout allows for a sequence of multiple and striking views, all oriented toward the landscape.

The volumes, perfectly individualized according to their function, expand into wide terraces that dominate the entire landscape.

The site conditions allowed us to create an experience of “weightlessness” and visual dominance over the landscape.
