El Colmenar
 

In a natural agricultural setting, with the Málaga hills overlooking the landscape, we were commissioned to design a small 115 m² villa for temporary use.

Two volumes, connected by a semi-covered space, begin the process of organizing the functional areas.

The first stage starts with a simple geometry, where the spaces are arranged around an interior courtyard naturally lit by a generous skylight.

​

The system of glass doors on the façade, like "bellows," allows for the complete opening of the living, dining, and kitchen areas, integrating the landscape into the interior of the house.

​

The extension of the ultra-light concrete slabs of the main volume, along with the slab covering the transition space between the house and the Bar & BBQ area, has been designed to guarantee shade during the long summer in Málaga.
